Vikings, out August 14, is the third full-length album and first for DCD2 Records/Warner Bros. Records for the members of New Politics—David Boyd [lead vocals, guitar], Søren Hansen [bass, guitar, keys, programming] who came to Brooklyn via Denmark, and NY native Louis Vecchio [drums]. The band’s current single, “West End Kids,” reached the top 30 Alternative chart in its first weeks and is steadily climbing. Vikings is a follow up to the band’s A Bad Girl in Harlem, which spawned the commercial knockout, “Harlem,” which landed on multiple trailers for the film Frozen as well as garnering placements for “America’s Got Talent,” Microsoft, and Taco Bell.
Coming along for the cross-country trip are four-piece rockers, The Griswolds, who broke into the scene last year with their critically acclaimed debut album, Be Impressive. Balancing out the male dominated roster is LOLO – hailing from Memphis, TN the spitfire chick with a gigantic voice is set to release her new EP, Comeback Queen, on July 17.

New Politics will storm the States in October and November headlining their fall tour presented by Live Nation's 'Ones to Watch'. The band will bring their high-energy live show in support of upcoming new music to 40 cities this fall, with Southern California rockers Bad Suns (Vagrant) and Cleveland's SomeKindaWonderful as support. The band has announced some dates now, and more dates will be revealed in July at newpoliticsrock.com
New Politics also recently signed to DCD2, Pete Wentz's relaunched record label, in anticipation of their next release. The band's single "Harlem" was Top 5 at Modern Rock radio for 2 months and follow up "Tonight You're Perfect" reached Top 15 at Modern Rock as well. Both songs were synced across a wide variety of campaigns from the trailer for Disney's "Frozen" to promos for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to commercials for Microsoft. The band has toured arenas with the likes of Jane's Addiction, 30 Seconds to Mars and P!nk, and will join Fall Out Boy once again this summer on the MONUMENTOUR with Paramore and LOLO.
